Pre-Purchase Condition Survey
The Pre-Purchase Survey (sometimes called a Full Condition Survey) is the most comprehensive we offer; we strongly advise a pre-purchase condition survey is carried out when purchasing a vessel.
The survey will tell you if the vessel is structurally sound, if it is safe, if the equipment aboard is in good working order and will provide a list of recommendations. The summary section of the report provides a quick and easy view of the condition of all the areas aboard.
It is our role as a marine surveyor to look over all aspects of the vessel and report on its condition, the systems aboard and identify areas or items that require attention.
Often the pre-purchase condition survey is used for the final negotiations on price, possibly saving you at least the cost of the survey.
We highly recommend a sea trial is carried out at the same time as a pre-purchase condition survey. This allows us to examine the overall condition and performance of the vessel.
